Well, the water has been back on for about one week.  Aside from all the personal kinds of stuff that was made difficult by the situation, it only takes a few days to realize how much that one depends on running water, both hot and cold. Anyway. The water is back on and I've forgotten about it.

The garden level slab is about to be poured (top photo).  Openings for the back patio style door and swing door are cut in and are having the necessary masonry finishing done so they are able to accommodate the new slab (Bottom Photo).  Radiant tubing and the necessary stuff for the floor system are stacked in the first floor.

The first floor is framed out with the exception of the stairwell area, which needs to wait a bit yet while garden level stuff below is sorted out.

I have about 10 days left here before I need to move out so the demo of the second floor can begin.  Even with headaches like 'ummm what happened to the power" or no hot water (or water at all)  I've enjoyed being here every day, to really watch things go from being a dream on paper to a very real thing.
