Rough-in inspections are finally complete.  Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing, gas company visit. They really aren't rough-in's they are actually near finished systems.  The spray foam insulation is up in the ceiling joists, and that will continue on the walls this week. In the coming two weeks, air conditioner condenser units will arrive and go up on the roof, and the boiler and hot water storage tank will be installed in the garden level utilities room, meaning... hot water!

And finally, the drywall is coming.  This really seems monumental to me, that point in the project where one can actually perceive an end to all of this, along with a settling feeling that it is all going to turn out well.  Its been a long time coming to this point.

I spent a hot, dirty Saturday salvaging door knobs and escutcheon plates from the old doors in the house for re-use in the interior.  I had wanted to re-use the doors themselves until the cost of stripping and refinishing them was revealed.  Most of the old doors and other wooden bits will be heading for the architectural salvage place.  I am hanging on to a few of the best pieces for re-use, along with this hardware, at least for now.  We shall see how it works out.
