Furniture is scheduled to return December 7 from the storage facility. WooooooHoo!
So there are a million things going on all at once, nothing has changed there.  By the time I get home tonight, there should be a new sidewalk poured from the back of the house to the alley, past the garage - so I won't have to walk through the mud anymore.  Small victories.

A few pics from the last week:

Kitchen Island Iron structure is looking pretty good.  Stone is ordered for the top.

Pete Moorman has really been killing it with the iron work (above and below).  He has one more piece to create, the stand for the first floor WC sink, which will carry this same type of aesthetic (shown here is the Master Bath)

Black Friday was kind with another discount on the type of light I was looking for to go above the island.  I had planned on refreshing those white ones in earlier pics, but I will spend less on these, brand new, without the time and effort of the others.

Painters have now started on the second floor. The paint has really brought a whole new dimension to the place.

Second Floor painting isn't yet done, but is closing in rapidly; the colors don't really seem in the photos the way it does in real life, they come off a lot colder in the pics. Trust.

While the "big improvement" stuff has slowed to a trickle at this point, it does still happen on occasion.  The muddy path of broken concrete and debris that led to the alley has been replaced with a nice concrete walk, which some nocturnal neighbor strolled down last night while the concrete was still 'wet enough'.   Now about that fence...
