Over the weekend, I've transitioned to living here full time. No, the project is not done, there is plenty to do yet, but it is narrowing down to finishing, painting, installing, and I need to plan the receipt of my belongings from storage and other things like internet, security, garage clean-out, etc. before the possibility of having to contend with snow conditions becomes a real concern. It has been a monumental journey, and I am tired. While I would never discourage anyone from pursuing something like this, I will be very forthright and tell them to prepare for a very long haul. Of course it will be worth the effort in the end, just beware that the effort is very, very demanding and very real.  One hears this same tale from anyone who has built a house.  Advice: Listen. Believe.

So rather than a status of things completed over the weekend, today's update is just two pics that made me happy.  The first is the view from the master bedroom (below) of the big maple in front of the building, which turns this beautiful vibrant yellow in the fall, and the second being the pic directly below it, which is one of the two original-to-the-building stained glass pieces.  They have been stabilized, repaired and cleaned by Mr Mark Lyons, and will soon be returned to their position of the last 130 years in the right and left upper corners of the window below. Happy Monday.

They will be returned to their original spot.  In this pic, Eugene attempts his famous Harry Potter move by making a big pile of trash disappear.  Wingardium Leviosa!
